Kleinfontein Guest Farm has a traditional 1830 homestead which was extended at the turn of the century. Cape Dutch architectural features and character have been restored by the current owners. This estate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, a blend of these two and Merlot Rose wines.
Directions from Cape Town:
Kleinfontein Guest Farm is 75km (47 miles) from Cape Town. Take the N1 highway to Paarl. Come off the N1 onto the R44 to Wellington. Follow this road, through a 4 way stop and two sets of traffic lights to a cross roads and traffic lights (about a 20 minute drive). Turn left at the cross roads into Wellington.
At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Church Street, a large church and the statue of Andrew Murray will be on your left. Follow this road through Wellington and climb out of Wellington towards the Bainskloof Pass. On your right you will pass the BOVLEI Winery. Immediately after, turn left and then immediately right.
Follow this road to a T junction and turn right (about 300 metres / yards). Travel for 2km (1.2 miles), half this distance will be on gravel. Take the KLEINFONTEIN sign on the right and follow the road for about 800 metres / yards to the end of the road. Kleinfontein Guest Farm is approximately 10 minutes from Wellington.
Directions from Cape Town International Airport:
Take the N2 highway to Somerset West. Take the R300 to Belleville and follow this road until you reach the N1 highway. Follow signs to Paarl onto the N1. Then follow the directions as above.
