How to get there:

By Road:

When driving from the Cape Town Airport take the N2 freeway towards the city. At its conclusion, as it forks, take the left hand feed off towards Muizenberg on the M3 (De Waal Drive), passing the University of Cape Town on your right.

At the first set of traffic lights you reach turn right into Rhodes Avenue. Follow Rhodes Avenue passed Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on your right to the T-Junction at the far end.

You then turn right at the T-Junction into Rhodes Drive and follow the road as it winds around the mountain to the traffic circle at Constantia Neck. Drive ¾ of the way around the circle and take the Hout Bay Main Road feed off.

Be aware that the entrance to Silvermist Mountain Lodge is just +/- 300 meters (984.2 feet) from the traffic circle on the left hand side. Travel slowly down the Hout Bay Main Road or you will pass and miss the lodge. Turn left through the white gateposts onto Silvermist and follow the drive all the way to the top to find reception.
